Rabid Pool

Rabid Pool

BTC SOLO · THE LOTTERY
Bitcoin solo mining

Mine Bitcoin solo. If you find a block, you keep 99% of it.

Point a Bitaxe or any SHA-256 miner at Rabid Pool's solo port. Your hashrate works alone: if it solves a Bitcoin block, the block pays your address 99% of the whole reward, with the pool's 1% in the same coinbase. No account, no signup, nothing to withdraw. It is a lottery, and the maths below is exact, so you know the odds before you start.

Your odds, calculated from the live network

loading live network numbers…

What the numbers mean. Bitcoin's network is enormous, so a small miner's chance in any one day is tiny, but it is never zero, and every hash is an independent ticket. The same miner on Bitcoin Cash (the right-hand box) has a much better chance per day, because that network is hundreds of times smaller; the prize is smaller too. Both are real blocks paid straight to your address.

Set up in two minutes

Bitaxe, NerdQAxe, Avalon Nano and similar

  1. Open your miner's settings page.
  2. Stratum URL: btc.rabidmining.com   Port: 5334 (solo)
  3. Username: your own Bitcoin address, then .bitaxe1 (any name). Password: x
  4. Save and restart. Paste your address on the BTC page (My stats) to watch your best share and odds live.

Bigger ASICs and farms

Same settings. For a batch or a rental that arrives all at once, use port 5344 (starts at difficulty 1,048,576). On the everyday port every miner starts at a low difficulty and ramps up by itself.

Prefer a steady income to a lottery? Port 5333 is PPLNS: you share every block the pool finds.

Is my miner big enough?

Solo works best for ASIC-class miners: a Bitaxe-sized machine (about a terahash) finds a share every few seconds on our solo port. Tiny ESP32 miners (NerdMiner, tens of kilohash) are so slow that the pool would almost never see a share from them, so they are not a good fit here.

Why mine solo here

You can verify every block

A solo block carries Rabid Pool SOLO in its coinbase and pays your address directly, so anyone can check it on a block explorer. Nothing is held by us.

Your best share, tracked

The BTC page keeps your best share and your own solo round, separate from PPLNS, so you can see how close you have come.

One flat 1%

Only if you find a block, and it comes out of the same coinbase. If you never find one, you never pay us anything.

No account, no lock-in

Your address is your login. Change a setting or point your miner somewhere else any time.

Will I be paid for shares?

No. Solo pays only when your hashrate solves a block. Shares just show the pool that your miner is working. If you want regular small payments, use PPLNS on port 5333.

How many solo miners can the pool take?

Each distinct payout address gets its own coinbase, and up to 58 addresses can be active at once on BTC. If it is full your miner is refused with a clear message instead of hashing for nothing.

Is it worth it?

For almost everyone it is entertainment with a very small chance of a very large prize, not an income. The calculator shows the real odds so you can decide.
