Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-09-23. Applies to pool.rabidmining.com, its mining pools, the phone app, and the Rabid Pool Android app on Google Play.

The short version

Rabid Pool is a non-custodial mining pool. We never hold your coins and we don't run accounts, logins, or passwords anywhere on the site or the app. Mining is anonymous by design: your payout address is your identity here, and it's already public on the blockchain the moment you get paid — that's the only "identity" this service has ever needed from you.

What we collect, and why

Mining data. When you point a miner at one of our stratum ports, the gateway sees the payout address, worker name and shares you submit — that's how PPLNS and SOLO payouts get computed and paid. This is the same information any mining pool needs to pay you, and it's what powers the dashboards on the site and in the app.

Your saved address(es), on the app or website. When you type an address into the app or the site's lookup box, it's saved only in your own browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us to be stored, and we have no account system to attach it to. Clear your browser data or uninstall the app, and it's gone — we never had a copy to begin with.

Push notifications (optional). If you turn on notifications in the app, we store: the push subscription your browser/OS gives us (needed to deliver a notification to your device), which alert categories you opted into, and — only if you're using address-specific alerts — the mining address to watch. Turning notifications off deletes this row immediately. We never see or store your phone number, name, email, or any other identifying detail — push delivery is handled entirely through your browser or OS's own push service (Google, Mozilla, Apple, etc.), which we never see the contents of beyond the notification we send.

Server logs. Like any web server, ours logs basic connection information (IP address, request path, timestamp) for a short period, for abuse prevention and debugging. We don't cross-reference this against mining addresses or build profiles from it.

Feedback / coin request form. If you use the feedback form, we store what you submit so we can act on it. No account is created.

What we never collect

The Android app specifically

The Rabid Pool Android app on Google Play is a packaged version of this same website's phone app (a "Trusted Web Activity") — it is not a separate codebase with its own data collection. Everything above applies to it identically. It requests the Android notification permission only if and when you turn on push alerts; it requests no other device permissions (no location, no contacts, no storage access, no camera).

Third parties we rely on

We use standard infrastructure to run the site and deliver push notifications: our hosting providers, and browser/OS push delivery services (Google's FCM, Mozilla's push service, Apple's push service, or Microsoft's, depending on your device) — each only sees what's necessary to deliver a notification you asked for, per their own privacy policies. We don't integrate any advertising or analytics SDKs.
