No. XBT is the Bitcoin Knots BLAKE2b hardfork (formerly BTCB2). It shares Bitcoin's transaction history up to the fork and the same address format, but it is a separate chain with a different proof-of-work (BLAKE2b, not SHA-256d). Rabid Pool is not affiliated with Bitcoin Core or the Bitcoin Knots developers.
What hardware can mine XBT?
Sia-family BLAKE2b ASICs on stock firmware: Goldshell SC Lite / SC Box / SC5 Pro / SC6 SE / HS5 (Sia mode), iBeLink BM-S1 Max / BM-S3, and the Antminer A3. It does not work with Kadena miners (BLAKE2s) or Decred miners (BLAKE-256).
How long until an XBT block pays out?
Coinbase outputs mature at 100 confirmations. Blocks are currently landing every ~4–5 minutes and trending toward the 10-minute target, so maturity is roughly 7–16 hours depending on network hashrate at the time.
What's the block reward, and what do I get?
3.125 XBT per block. After the pool fee (0% for launch, later 1%) that's 3.09375 XBT split across miners by PPLNS shares. Solo miners take the whole block minus the fee.
Where can I trade XBT?
Neoxa (pair shown as XBT/USDC, API symbol BTCB2_USDC) is the deepest market; NonKYC lists BTCB2/USDT. XBT is not on CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap. Prices shown on this dashboard are indicative only.
Why does XBT difficulty keep jumping?
The chain uses Bitcoin's 2016-block retarget with a 4× per-adjustment cap. Since the fork, hashrate has been rising faster than the cap allows, so several retargets in a row have hit the +300% ceiling. It settles once hashrate stabilises.
