Miners are grouped by the reward address each block paid. One entity may use several addresses; ours is labelled Rabid Pool.

Every miner is weighted by the difficulty of the shares they submitted, not the number — a small GPU on low difficulty and a large rig on high difficulty are compared on equal terms. PPLNS only — SOLO miners mine their own rounds and are listed separately below.

SOLO miners mine their own independent rounds. Their work never enters the PPLNS window, and a solved block is credited to that miner alone (minus the 1% fee) and paid in the daily payout.

0x…), but they are different networks: an ETH exchange deposit address will not credit ETC. Use a wallet you control, or the exchange’s ETC deposit address, and check its minimum deposit against our 0.1 ETC minimum payout. The pool pays the network transfer fee, and cannot tell an exchange address from a personal one.

On port 9534 your hashrate works alone: a block you find is credited to you alone, minus the 1% fee. Nothing is shared with other miners and nothing waits on a PPLNS window — but between blocks you earn nothing. Every ETC block pays one pool address, so like the PPLNS side it is custodial: the credit lands in your balance and is paid in the next daily payout.
Same login rules as PPLNS: your 0x address as the username with an optional .worker name.
0xYourAddress.rig1x (anything — the username is the login),d=4G after the worker name, e.g. 0xYourAddress.rig1,d=4G (K / M / G / T accepted). It is hashes per share, from 100M to 10T. It also works in the password: d=4G (with BTC: btc:bc1…,d=4G). MiningRigRentals and similar rental sites usually want 500M or more per share. No signup, no account, no dashboard login — your payout address is your identity. A bad address is refused at connect. By default the pool tunes the share difficulty to about one share every 10 seconds.
Prefer Bitcoin? Put btc: and your Bitcoin address in the password field. We sell your ETC for BTC and send you the BTC instead of ETC.
0xYourAddress.rig1 (unchanged: your ETC address is still your account)btc:bc1qYourBitcoinAddressbc1…, 1… or 3…. It is checksum-checked before anything is sent; double-check it anyway — coins sent to a wrong address cannot be recovered.btc: password any time to go back to ETC.Fill in your ETC address above.
The pool address is filled in for you. Nothing you type here leaves your browser.

Yes. An ETC block pays one address, so the pool is that address: block rewards land in the pool’s wallet and the pool sends each miner their share. Our Bitcoin-family pools are non-custodial; this one is not, and we say so up front. The pool is built so a crash cannot pay anyone twice (every payout is written to the database, signed, and only then broadcast, so a restart re-sends the identical transaction), the wallet holds only what the next payout needs plus a small buffer, and the rest is swept to the owner’s cold storage.
Once a day at 16:00 UTC, for every miner whose balance is at least 0.1 ETC. The pool pays the network gas fee, so you receive the full amount. Balances below 0.1 ETC carry over.
A block is credited when it is 1,000 blocks deep (about 3.7 hours after it was found), so a block that gets reorganised away never pays anyone. After that your share appears under Blocks you earned from. Ethereum Classic has had deep reorganisations in the past, which is why we wait this long.
ETC blocks come about every 13 seconds, so two miners sometimes find a block at nearly the same moment. The loser can still be included by a later block as an uncle and earns a smaller reward (the block that includes it gets a small bonus). Rabid Pool credits uncles to miners exactly like blocks — they show on the blocks table with an UNCLE tag.
PPLNS: the window is twice the network difficulty of accepted shares, and each miner gets their fraction of the block reward (minus the 1% fee) by the difficulty-weighted shares they have in that window. The reward is the block reward plus the transaction fees in the block.
Your own Ethereum Classic address starting 0x. ETC and Ethereum addresses look the same but are different networks — an ETH exchange deposit address will not credit ETC. If you mine to an exchange, use its ETC deposit address and check its minimum deposit first (our minimum payout is 0.1 ETC).
Etchash ASICs (iPollo, Jasminer, Bitmain E9 and similar) and GPUs. ASICs only need the pool URL, worker and password in their web page. GPU miners (SRBMiner-MULTI, lolMiner, TeamRedMiner, T-Rex) use their normal command line. The Connect tab has a command builder. The pool speaks both EthereumStratum/1.0.0 and the older ETHProxy dialect.
Difficulty is measured in expected hashes, so the pool and network hashrate here are hashes per second of Etchash work, derived from difficulty and block time. The pool figure is measured from the shares we receive over the last 10 minutes.
SOLO mode is live on port 9534 (PPLNS is 9533): same address login. A block your own work finds pays 99% to you, 1% fee, credited when it is 1,000 blocks deep and paid in the daily payout. SOLO miners do not share in PPLNS blocks and PPLNS miners do not share in SOLO blocks. Because every ETC block pays one pool address, the pool works out who found each block from the winning nonce stamped into the block itself, so it cannot be mixed up. If a block ever cannot be matched to a finder, nobody is paid from it until we have checked it by hand — it is held, not lost.
Yes (beta). Put btc: and your Bitcoin address in your miner’s password field (username stays your ETC address). Your ETC is sent to the exchange at the daily run, sold, and the BTC is sent to you once you are owed at least 0.0005 BTC. No markup: exchange trading cost and network fees are passed through at cost. All rigs on one ETC address must use the same password. Details on the Connect tab.
No. Ethereum Classic is the original Ethereum chain that continued after the 2016 fork; it still uses proof-of-work (Etchash). Rabid Pool is an independent project, not affiliated with Ethereum Classic.
